This family home suffered from a large fire that nearly destroyed their entire house. The fire started in the garage, the cause was nearly undeterminable because of the immense damages, although it is now believed to be an electrical malfunction.
The fire swept through the entire top floor of the home, resulting in having to tear down the top level, which then had to be completely rebuilt from the main floor joist and up. The basement was not as effected by flames, but it was severely damaged by smoke and water. The entire basement had to be demolished down to the frame and then rebuilt. Because the fire was so severe the homeowners were able to redesign their home they way they desired. Look at the astonishing before and after pictures, you will hardly believe it is the same house.
