As insurance underwriting becomes more restrictive, some carriers, including those in Minnesota, are now requiring Four Point Inspections (roof, plumbing, electrical, HVAC) on older homes before issuing policies. This course, led by Bob and Eric Houseman from Structure Tech, covers what these inspections entail, why they’re becoming more common, and how they impact both real estate transactions and insurance approvals. Learn how to better inform your clients, navigate today’s market, and add real value to the homebuying and coverage process.

Ethics in Property Claims Settlements Course# 1035835 4 Credits

The current storm regarding homeowners’ coverage and claims are the product of years of apathy on the part of insureds turning in claims to use their home policy as a maintenance contract, abuses by some contractors, and the fact that carriers simply pass costs on to those who pay premiums. Some of these situations reduce predictability. Agents trying to cope with this ask: “What can we tell customers?” This course is designed to give agents talking points and information to educate consumers on what is going on.
